About Us

 Sue

I started quilting in 1995. I quilted some items on my domestic sewing machine, and sent others out to be quilted. In 2002, I discovered home quilting frames, and soon afterwards, computer-assisted quilting. Since I work in information technology in my 9-to-5 life, and have a background in the computer graphic arts, I took to this like a duck to water!

In 2006, I invested in an A-1 Elite long arm equipped with Compuquilter. I enjoy the challenge of planning the best possible quilting treatment for every top, whether it's an overall edge to edge design or a more elaborate custom treatment. Since I have more than 2,000 designs available for use, no two quilts will ever look the same! Using Compuquilter allows me to multi-task and use my time more effectively, resulting in accurate work with consistently high quality

I'm more recent to quilting, although I have assisted with mechanical and technical tasks for several years. I help load wide backing fabrics, ensure that rows are straight, thread tensions are correct, and everything works smoothly. I'm also the "extra pair of eyes" who helps inspect finished quilts before they come off the frame.

I spent 30+ years as an Air Force and commercial pilot, and am now employed as an electrical engineer.

I'm a 6 year old Kerry Blue Terrier who joined the team in June of 2008. My job is to protect my family, our house, and our clients' quilts. I love to meet our clients, because I am a true ladies man! And, yes, I can see you quite well through the hair on my face! Just scratch me under my chin and you can be my new BFF!

I'm a 7 year old Kerry Blue Terrier who just joined the team in June of 2010. I will be assisting Mac, and my nickname is "Miss Supervisor," cause that's what I do best!
